An exciting opportunity exists for a talented Head Chef with a love for Mediterranean cuisine to lead our new team at the Roslyn Packer Theatre. Oversee all kitchen operations while serving a Mediterranean-inspired seasonal menu, offering guests a memorable dining experience in a fast-paced environment. THE ROLE

  • Lead a team of 3 to 4 chefs per service
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef in development of new menus and production
  • Mostly evenings, with lunch services on Wednesdays and Saturdays, 38 hours per week
  • Oversee and manage all kitchen activities, including lunch, dinner, and event services
  • Efficiently manage food and labour costs, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Ensure adherence to food safety and health regulations
  • Contribute to the development of future menus, combining creativity and passion for Mediterranean cuisine

 

ABOUT YOU

  • Strong background in Mediterranean cuisine
  • Ideally, experience from well-known establishments
  • 3+ years of experience as a Head Chef in high-end a la carte restaurants and hotels or even catering
  • Passionate about cooking and thriving in a high-energy environment
  • Proven ability to lead by example, creating an organized, creative, and high-performance team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Qualified Food Safety Supervisor
  • Valid Australian work rights
